School Farm, Barford, Norfolk

This project at School Farm consisted of three Grade ll Listed buildings which were formerly on South Norfolk Council’s ‘at risk register’. The family run project incorporated my brother-in-law as the client, my father and family business as main contractor, and myself acting as project designer with spare time on a day to day basis spent working physically on site. We achieved planning permission during January 2005 (in parallel with my Part II Diploma studies) and since then work progressed steadily. University vacations were spent working on site, and more recently I have relocated to Norfolk in order to to see the project through to completion.

Budget approximately £1.1 million.

Units include: ‘The Hay Barn’, ‘The Annex’ and ’The Main Farmhouse’.
